Question: What is the difference betwen online, hybrid and in-seat classes?
Answer: An in-seat class is held on campus and meets once a week, typically from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. An online class is presented completely online and is very helpful for those students who live at a distance from campus. A hybrid class is a mix of in-seat and online. It will typically have about 7 meetings on campus and the rest of the work will be online.
Question: Are there set meeting times for the online courses?
Answer: Each class has a set day that the new work for the week will become available. There may be one or two online meetings with the students in your course, but you will be able to work through most of your coursework independently.
Question: How much time should I plan for each class?
Answer: For each class you take, plan on spending about 6 hours per week on coursework.
Question: How many classes can I take at one time?
Answer: Typically, you will be able to work through 1-2 courses per semester. If you are planning on being a full time student, you may request to enroll in more.
Question: I really want to take one of the hybrid courses, but live too far away from campus to drive in. Can I Skype in to class?
Answer: For some classes, you can Skype or Zoom for the class. You will want to contact the individual instructors and get their OK.
Question: Will my TCR credits transfer to another college?
Answer: Yes, your ECE credits will transfer to any Colorado community college.
Question: Is TCR accredited?
Answer: Yes. TCR is accredited by the national Council on Occupational Education (COE), which is a division of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
